About

Christopher opened the center after fifteen years in the classroom, most of it teaching senior biology and calculus. He still takes a few students every week because he does not think you can run a tutoring service well without sitting across the table from students yourself. Outside of work he is usually on a trail somewhere with his dog.

Jennifer has been tutoring for more than ten years and leads our instructor team. She specializes in students who have already decided they are bad at a subject, and she is very good at proving them wrong. Her students describe her lessons as calm, organized and a lot more fun than they expected.

Joanne works on the part nobody actually teaches: how to study. Note taking, exam timing, and breaking a large assignment into pieces that get done instead of dreaded. She holds a master’s in education and has worked with students from grade four through first year university.

A steady, patient presence with our younger students, and the person we send in when a child has lost confidence and needs to rebuild it one small win at a time. Eight years of tutoring experience across reading, writing and elementary math, and a long history of making nervous students comfortable in the first ten minutes.
